BIG SKY
COUNTRY: MONTANA, USA
Big Sky is truly a skier's mountain. With less glitz and glamour than destinations like Vail or Aspen, it's no-frills take on luxury and vast skiable acreage (the largest in the country at 5800ac) provides even the best skiers a hefty challenge. The Mountain Village is quaint but the surrounding region is vast. Rich with the diverse wildlife, canyons, and rivers that makeup Yellowstone National Park, the area provides an incredible backdrop in the Winter and Summer alike. It’s no surprise that celebrities flock to the region's private Yellowstone Club for a low-key luxe holiday.
EXPERIENCE ELEVATED
01/ HANG YOUR HAT
Big Sky’s offers plenty of vacation home rentals and hotel accommodations to suit any size group. Summit Hotel and Huntley Lodge are both great options but we love Lone Mountain Ranch for their sustainable ethos and cozy romantic cabins. The sprawling property offers horseback riding, fly fishing, mountain biking, and guided hiking. The food and beverage program features farm-to-table organic offerings sourced locally. Currently, many of Big Sky’s businesses are being remodeled for the city's 2025 Vision, where we’ll see major updates to existing properties and additional offerings, all aiding in community development and supporting a larger vision for a more accessible Big Sky.
02/ SKY HIGH PROVISIONS
Big Sky has a plethora of dining options from casual dives to fine dining experiences. Start your afternoon at EVERETT’S 8800 located at the top of Ramcharger 8, only accessible by chairlift. There you’ll enjoy a selection of cocktails and wine before heading down the mountain for après-ski at Scissorbills Saloon, a favorite local watering hole with a rotating roster of live music acts. For a special evening arrange for dinner at Montana Dinner Yurt, where you’ll travel by snowcat to dine surrounded by candlelight in a secluded wooded location. After dinner, cozy up around the fire and enjoy live acoustic tunes.
03/ SEASONAL SELECTIONS
Apart from the most popular activity - skiing, Big Sky offers a range of incredible recreations for all ages. The summertime is particularly breathtaking and opens up a slew of possibilities. For a challenge, traverse the 8.5 mile Cinnamon Mountain hike which offers expansive views of the Spanish Peaks and Lone Mountain. White water rafting is a great choice for those who wish to admire the Gallatin River up close and personal or try a ziplining tour through Lone Mountain for an exhilarating view of the region.
